The IALC quality assurance - a guarantee of excellence in private language schools
All IALC language schools are accredited by the IALC quality assurance programme. The programme sets minimum requirements and standards in all areas of language school operations. It is based on the IALC code of ethics. The code is updated at regular intervals in order to adapt the changing expectations of consumers and current best practice of international language schools.
One central idea of the IALC quality assurance programme is continual improvement.
Code of ethics
All IALC language schools must observe the IALC code of ethics. Together with the quality assurance programme, the code of ethics forms the basis for the quality assurance of IALC language schools. It is based on best practice principles for the quality management of international language schools, from the recruitment of qualified teachers and the provision of a structured curriculum to truthful advertising and comprehensive support of students in extra-curricular activities.
In order to become a member, the language schools must demonstrate strict observance of the IALC statutes by being inspected in the acceptance procedure and then every four years. Only institutes which pass these strict inspections can be certified members.
