I recommend the Dialogue Language Institute and the program to the highest degree.

My speaking ability has in my opinion increased tenfold.

When someone has to learn the German language and culture in a short amount of time, the Dialogue Language Institute is the right place to be. It is clean, well-equipped, has first-rate teachers and is also safe.
I live with a host family and the house is always clean. My laundry is always washed and pressed when I need it.
The meals always have more than enough food and when I must go somewhere at a certain time my "Guest Mother" is always more than accomodating in preparing a meal early.
The school is also absolute "up-to-date" and well-equipped.
I've been in the High School and a year in University and this is the most aesthetically pleasing premises I have ever studied at.
The school also has a computer lab for further studying as well as more computer terminals from where students can send and receive emails and access internet.
The teachers are also very knowledgable about the German language, whenever you have a problem with your studies or homework, the teachers are always willing to help after class.
When students need a safe, hassle-free place in which to study German I can not think of a better city than Lindau. Lindau has only 25,000 permanent residents. It also has much tourism, so the local police department is used to dealing with people from other countries, who do not speak German well.
There is also the Austrian border only 5 km away, so there is a Border Police stationed here in Lindau, too. Lindau has a good, well-equipped Fire Department and Ambulance service that is familiar with dealing with foreigners.
