After spending years as an investment banker, Ferrara abandoned his life in corporate business to pursue his lifelong dream of producing and promoting the arts. He is the recipient of the 2006 Louisiana Governor's arts award for Leadership in the Arts, and continues his involvement within the community by being a spokesperson and loudspeaker for artists.
Kaplan joined the Jonathan Ferrara Gallery in 2006, after six years of dealing her own work independently and exhibiting fellow artists in Memphis, TN. Her enthusiasm for producing exhibits compliments her love for learning, teaching and representing the work of living artists. As a curator, she has produced cutting-edge exhibitions of American art, including her most recent, "Ad Lib: Americana" at the Jonathan Ferrara Gallery in 2007.
